How do I view retrieve my mail on this new server?

To view your mail, you will need to configure your mail client to the following settings:

 

Email Username: email@domain.tld

Email Password: your email password as listed in EasyMail Setup

Incoming Mail Server: mail.domain.tld

Outgoing Mail Server: mail.domain.tld

POP3 Port: 110

IMAP Port: 143

SMTP Port: 1025

Server Authentication: Required

 

What happened to my Email Password?

Your email password must be a minimum 4 characters and maximum 8 characters in length. To verify your email password; login to WebsiteOS and go to E-mail > EasyMail Setup > select Email Account.

Need to download mail from the previous servers?

You will need to configure your mail client with the following settings:

Email Username: First part of email address (everything to the left of the @)

Email Password: your previous email password

Incoming Mail Server: legacymail.domain.tld

Outgoing Mail Server: legacymail.domain.tld

POP3 Port: 110

SMTP Port: 2525

Server Authentication: Required

We recommend that you POP your mail, as these servers will be retired within 60 days of the platform upgrade.

 

 

Important! Before you make any changes to your site... Download the newest version from our platform. Use FTP and download your content from our new platform.

 

Download the most up to date version of your site from our new platform to your computer. Changes were required in order to facilitate the functionality of your website on our new platform. Once you have downloaded your content, you will be able to modify your website. When you have made the appropriate changes, save your files and upload the content to our platform.

 

The following FTP conventions are required in order to download content from our platforms:

FTP Address: domain.tld
FTP Username: domain.tld
FTP Password: your domain password
FTP Port: 21

If you are using FrontPage, you will need to reverse publish content to your computer. To reverse publish you will need to do the following:


1. Open FrontPage and select File >Open/Open Web/Open Site (this may vary based on the version of FrontPage you are using).


2. Enter the domain name in the following format: http://domain.tld


3. Click "Open."


4. Enter your username (domain.tld) and password (your domain password) and click "OK."


5. With the website open on FrontPage, select Publish Site / Publish Destination (this may vary based on the version of FrontPage you are using).


6. Specify a location on your computer (i.e. desktop).


7. Create or select a directory you wish to place your content. Click "OK." ***You may see the following prompt "Would you like FrontPage to create web (Click "OK." if you see the prompt)." When you reverse publish, be sure to specify sub webs if they are present.


8. Click "Publish." The content should be downloaded from our platform to your computer.


9. Once you have successfully reverse published the content to your computer. You will be able to begin modifying your site. When you have finished editing your website, you may click "Publish" and publish the content back onto our platform.
